Light flooded the window.  I rolled away from it, towards her, but she sat up.  I sat up and hugged her awhile.  The light was still there.  I couldn’t tell who was behind it, but it was bothering her as one would expect so I opened the hatch and got out of there.  The officer was standing next to his car watching us.

“Officer,” I said.  “Is there a problem?”

“There’s no parking here after midnight.”

“There isn’t a sign.”

“Don’t need one.”

“Oh,” I said.  “Can you turn off that light?”
