I was supposed to be doing practice problems, but I was staring at the girl in the fishnet exercise clothes.  I did not think she was headed to or from exercise or that she needed it.  I said hello to her and she asked what I was doing.  “Practice problems,” I said.  She asked what for.

“Oh,” she said.  “That sounds hard.”

“Not really,” I said.  “But it’s boring.”

We talked awhile longer.  I was thinking too many things to say any of them effectively.  “I know where that is,” she said.  “I can see it from my kitchen.”  But then she had to run.  “See you,” she said, “in the kitchen.”
